My Pool Makeup Routine

Hi all! Sorry for being absent for so long! I’ve been living life, enjoying summer and time’s been flying by. I just wanted to pop in and share with you some of my favorite summer beauty products for the pool/beach. I don’t know what the weather’s like in your neck of the woods, but here it’s been almost as hot as Death Valley. NO joke. Since, it’s been as hot as ever in this crazy desert, I’ve been even more diligent with sunscreen than I usually am. I’ve been using the TimeWise Day solution from Mary Kay as my everyday sunscreen. I love this product because it’s oil free, fragrance free, non-comedogenic, plus it also has broad spectrum sunscreen in it. I LOVE products that do more than one thing. I feel like I get more for my money.

I’ve also added the MaryKay Finishing Spray to my makeup routine whenever I go outside for longer than 5 minutes. This stuff works SO well! I was surprised that it works as well as it does. It truly did keep my makeup from melting in the 120 degree weather. And no, the 120 is not a typo. *Help me!*
Ok, so without further ado, my summer/pool/beach makeup routine. Who says you can’t look cute at the pool?
Pool Essentials

I start off with a cream shadow (usually beach blonde). I love this because it’s long wearing, crease proof AND it has eyeshadow primer in it. (HELLO Awesomeness!) On my non pool days, it usually ends up being my base color. Then, I use the Mary Kay Waterproof Mascara. It goes on and stays on. YAY! If I’m feeling fancy or not planning on swimming much, I’d also use the Mary Kay eyeliner. It’s smudge proof and waterproof. It’s also creamier than a pencil liner! Love! My favorite color is probably Steely (a dark grayish color). I like that it’s not as bold as black, but not as neutral as bronze

Next, I either use the Tinted Moisturizer with SPF (think BB Cream) or straight up sunscreen. I like the Mary Kay SPF 50. It’s gentle enough to use on my face and it won’t make me break out. Awesome! If I feel like my skin is super dry from all the chlorine, or if I got sun burned because I didn’t reapply sunscreen at all, I will use the After Sun Replenishing Gel. I don’t know what’s in this, but it is MAGIC! It feels like a cucumber gel mask. AAAAHHHH!

Now you may be thinking, “Ya… Ok Mary Kay consultant… Of course you’ll say you love it all. You want me to buy it all”. Honestly, no. I use (and LOVE) these products. I’m not interested in selling people things that they don’t need or won’t use, but if you’re looking for quality products, I would check them out. They’re 100% guaranteed, so you have nothing to lose.

Happy Summer!
Lidia 🙂
